My Students Weigh In

I alerted the students in my Western Civ course to the decision by the folks at Middlebury College to ban Wikipedia from being cited in essays. Here’s what some of my students had to say in response.

    Professor Kelly, I think it’s great that you’re using Wikipedia as your Western Civ “textbook”. And for whatever it’s worth, from the perspective of a PhD student at one of those many other university who don’t focus on teaching except as an extra-curricular activity, I absolutely agree with your take on the “bad habits” about which CC leaders complain.
